AJ Media Rookies Program

Media Rookies Exploring the Global Media Sphere

  

The School of Media and Communication (SMC) conducts a global media program offering overseas field trips to SMC students during their summer and winter breaks. This program was launched in the summer of 2019, and the expenses are covered by a donation of KRW 450 million over three years from AJ Networks (Inc.), thereby ensuring that participants do not incur the financial burden.

Season 1-Episode 1 of the program began with a 14-day trip in August to visit the studios and headquarters of the leading media platforms and companies (e.g., Google, Netflix, Disney, etc.) located in California, United States. Participants also attended various events, such as the Korea Convention (KCON) and D23. Participants of Season 1-Episode 2 will attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States, in January 2020.

Moreover, a series of special lectures—titled “the AJ Media Rookie Lecture Series”—will be conducted for SMC students by media professionals in Korea.
