[Scholarship] Guide for Applying for Foreign Student Scholarships for the 1st Semester of 2024


1. Eligibility

Current graduate students as of the 1st semester of 2024 (Only applicable to those admitted through the foreign student admission process)

Those planning to exceed the regular study period, take a leave of absence, or conduct research during the semester are not eligible to apply.

Excludes government-invited scholarship recipients and joint/double degree students.

Applicants must meet the specific criteria for each scholarship (Refer to conditions under section 2 for eligibility).

It's crucial to apply for the scholarship every semester.


2. Conditions for Application


Criteria : GPA for the 2nd semester of 2023 (Expected to be announced in January 2024) Scholarship support will be revoked if the grades do not meet the criteria.

Since GPA is not finalized at the time of application, applying for multiple scholarships is permissible (However, multiple selections are not allowed).


Criteria : Mandatory completion of courses for foreign students (Sexual Violence Prevention Education, Understanding Korean Laws)

Submission of proof of completion of mandatory courses for foreign students is required for scholarship application. Refer to the attached poster for course details, certificate issuance, etc.

3. Application Process and Result Confirmation

  • Application Period: December 1st (Fri) to December 31st (Sun), 2023


Application Process: Portal Access → Login → Registration/Scholarships → Scholarships → Application for Graduate School Scholarships - Submission Documents (Upload the following documents as a single file)


 Scholarship Application Form and Statement of Purpose - 1 copy

 Proof of completion of mandatory courses for foreign students - 1 copy each (Sexual Violence Prevention Education, Understanding Korean Laws)

Refer to the attached poster for course details, certificate issuance, etc.

Result Announcement: January 24th, 2024 (Wed) Check Scholarship Recipient Status on the Portal

※Note

The amount for scholarships in the Humanities and Social Sciences category (B) of the Department of Media & Communication is 60% of the tuition fee.
