The 'Research Center for Digital Platform' (formerly Media Industry Research Center) specializes in research related to media management, industry, media economics, and policies. Additionally, to track trends in online journalism nationally and internationally and to take a leading role in research, they have established and operated the 'Korea University Center for Online Journalism.'The 'Intelligent Information Technology and Social Issues Research Center' aims to enhance social understanding of intelligent information technology, address the side effects or problems caused by technology, and utilize intelligent information technology to solve prevalent societal issues.

Since 1976, The Institution of Information and Culture has been publishing the academic journal 'Communication Science,' sharing diverse and in-depth research knowledge about communication, media industries, consumers, and media culture. Additionally, they publish books exploring issues in the media field and organize various seminars and academic events, creating platforms for scholarly communication.
