Recruitment Notice for Research and Education Assistants for School of Media & Communication, Spring Semester 2024


1. Application Period: February 20th, 2024 (Tuesday) ~ February 23rd, 2024 (Friday) 13:00 (strict adherence to the application period)


2. Submission Location: School of Media & Communication Administrative Office (Media Hall Room 201)


3. Required Documents


    a. Assistant Application Form (1 copy)

    

        - Specify the workplace on page 1

          (Research Assistant: Professor Hong Gil-dong's research lab, Education Assistant: Department Office, Institution of Information and Culture, etc.)

          

        - Only applicant's signature on page 1, administrative office will handle the department head's signature collectively

        

        - Essential to fill out special skills section on page 2 (related to selection criteria)

        

    b. Academic Transcript (1 copy) (Not required for freshmen)


4. Recruitment Types and Scholarship Amounts


    a. Research and Education Assistants

    

        Scholarship amount varies based on working hours (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%)

        

    b. Graduate Student Workers for the Educational Media Support Team

    

        Hourly wage: 9,900 won


5. Selection Criteria


    a. Currently enrolled graduate students (Those on leave or graduates are not eligible)

    

    b. Diligence (considering academic performance, relevant work experience, etc.)

    

    c. Preference for holders of computer-related certifications

    

    d. Preference for those with experience in school equipment room or computer device management (PC management)

    

    e. Preference for proficient in PPT production and editing

    

    f. Preference for those capable of website tasks, proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator

    

    g. Economic situation


6. Notes


    a. Graduates and students on leave will not be selected as assistants

    

    b. The number of recruits in the above fields may change depending on circumstances

    

    c. The assistant appointment period is for one semester

    

    d. Master's and doctoral students can apply for a maximum of 4 times (4 semesters)

    

    e. Beneficiaries of tuition reduction or other scholarships in the spring semester of 2024 are not eligible to apply

    

    f. Dr. Lee Sang-won, newly appointed professor, is eligible for research assistant application


7. Working Hours: Maximum of 20 hours (varies depending on scholarship amount)


    - 100%: 20 hours per week 

    - 75%: 15 hours per week 

    - 50%: 10 hours per week 

    - 25%: 5 hours per week


8. Job Description


    a. Support for Department of Media & Communication and graduate school classes (e.g., equipment management, material printing, etc.) and assistance in proceedings

    

    b. Support for Department of Media & Communication and graduate school events

    

    c. Other tasks to support the operation of Department of Media & Communication and graduate school curriculum and academic management (refer to attached file)
