On October 14, 2023, the Autumn Regular Academic Conference of the Korean Association for Journalism Studies was held. The Korean Association for Journalism Studies contributes to research, education, and analysis in the fields of journalism and communication, fosters academic exchanges domestically and internationally, and promotes collaboration between the media and academia to fulfill the important tasks of cultivating a proper media culture and serving the public interest.

Among the sessions, the "Cheongchul-eoram" session is a platform where both students and mentors present their scholarly achievements. In this session, doctoral candidate Song Daeun's paper titled "<Boycotts and Boycotts in Response to Corporate Social Activism (CSA): Focusing on the Level of Agreement Between Individuals and Companies and Perceived Appropriateness of CSA>" was awarded the Excellent Paper Award.

This paper examines how corporate social activism (CSA) activities, where companies express their views on controversial social issues in modern society, are perceived by the public and how the public responds accordingly. Song Daeun expressed gratitude for the recognition of her paper, which she worked on during the semester, and thanked Professor Yoon Youngmin for his guidance. She also expressed her determination to continue meaningful research based on this achievement.
