Dear Students,

We appreciate your interest in the exchange student program. To ensure smooth credit recognition, please follow these guidelines:

Before Registering for Courses at the Partner University:

1.     Email Course Review Request to Deputy Dean:

  • Email the course details for review to Deputy Dean Jung Yoon-hyuk: beyond@korea.ac.kr.

  • Include the course syllabus.

  • For courses in double majors or interdisciplinary programs, follow the respective department's procedures.

Note: The portal 'Final Submission' should only occur after administrative document submission.

After Completion of Exchange Studies:

1.     Submit Credit Recognition Application via Portal:

  • Enter course names and grades exactly as stated on the official transcript from the host university.

  • The order of the courses should match the transcript.

2.     Submit Administrative Documents to the Department (Both In-Person and Email Submission Required):

In-Person Submission:

  • Inter-University Credit Recognition Application Form (Printed from the portal).

  • For double majors, get the form stamped by the relevant department and then submit it to the Media Studies Department.

  • Even for courses related to a double major, the final submission must be made to the Media Studies Department.

Documents for Email Submission (Email to jjbk@korea.ac.kr):

  • Compile all course syllabi into a single PDF file.

  • Ensure the order of courses matches the application form exactly.

After Administrative Review, Complete the 'Final Submission' on the Portal:

  • Credits earned as an exchange student will be included in your total earned credits but will not affect your GPA; they will be indicated on your transcript.

  • All grades, excluding 'F,' should be recognized.

  • Credit recognition is a one-time process and cannot be revised.

  • Credit recognition must be completed within 30 days of your return, irrespective of re-enrollment status.

  • Promotion cannot be processed until credit recognition is completed. Please aim to submit by July or January.

Domestic University Credit Exchange: After applying through the portal, submit only the 'Inter-University Credit Recognition Application Form' to the department.
