On Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at 5:00 PM, the 4th M-Tree (Media Tree) Scholarship Award Ceremony for the School of Media & Communication took place at CinemaTrap in Room 412 of the Media Building. Faculty members of the School of Media & Communication, Yoon Seok-am, President of the School of Media & Communication Alumni Association, and students attended to congratulate the scholarship recipients.
The M-Tree Scholarship, established through a donation from Professor Hong Ki-seon, a professor emeritus of the School of Media & Communication in 2021, is awarded to students who demonstrate passion and potential to lead the future of the media field. This year's scholarship recipients include Jo Su-min, Jo Hwi-hyun, Kim Ju-seung (Class of '18), Park Yeon-su (Class of '19), Song Na-young (Class of '20), and Do Min-su (Class of '22), totaling 6 students.
The ceremony commenced with a welcoming speech and report from Director Min Young. Yoon Seok-am, President of the Alumni Association, Professor Ma Dong-hoon, and 3rd batch scholarship recipient, student Lee Seong-hyun, delivered speeches, followed by the presentation of scholarship certificates. The 4th batch scholarship recipients responded with heartfelt gratitude. The scholarship recipients are planning to create card news and newsletters to promote awareness of the M-Tree Scholarship among their peers and members of the School of Media & Communication.
