Korea University's Media Education Research Group, led by Professor Min Young, has been selected as a 'Continuation Support Group' in the 4th phase of the BK21 Future Talent Development Program by the Korea Research Foundation. Established in September 2020, the Media Education Research Group is scheduled to operate until August 2027, with a total project duration of 7 years.


Under the vision and goal of 'cultivating global media intelligence demanded by the intelligent information society to contribute to the sustainability of the media ecosystem and community,' the Media Education Research Group has achieved outstanding results over the past three years in both the education sector (building and enhancing innovative graduate education programs, diversifying student growth and success through academic-practical tracks, producing world-class graduate student research outcomes, and enhancing global competencies of graduate students) and the research sector (excellent research outcomes by participating professors, revolutionary interdisciplinary research breaking boundaries in media studies, continuous industry-academic collaboration, and pioneering and diversifying international research networks).


In the upcoming 4th phase, the Media Education Research Group aims to solidify its position as a leading research group by nurturing the best academic successors and conducting research contributing to solving social issues in the intelligent information society.
